Credits 3
Instructional Method
Academic Level
In this advanced studio course, Game Design students work in teams to create original content for existing games using professional modding tools. Leveraging platforms like Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), students will design new quests, missions, characters, or game modes within a live, player-facing ecosystem. Emphasis is placed on adapting core systems, designing within constraints, and playtesting for real-world engagement. Through collaborative development, documentation, and postmortems, students will refine their skills in systems design, storytelling, and player experience-while contributing meaningfully to established game worlds.
