Type 1: Fundamentals presents a foundational study of typography, emphasizing the formal analysis of letterforms, terminology, and the underlying principles of typographic structure. Through an examination of alphabet classifications, students will investigate the historical evolution of type design and engage with the conceptual rationale informing the development and differentiation of letterform styles and characteristics. This is a foundational course required for all Graphic Design students.
