Communication Design 5: Visual Interaction Design emphasizes the development of identity systems within the context of interactive applications. Students will craft a clear vision and strategic approach for cohesive branding of a product or service. Through research and exploration, they will design and test identity systems built from iconic and/or typographic elements, and apply them across a variety of media. A strong focus on interface design will guide the creation of working prototypes for interactive platforms, with iterative making, critical feedback, and innovative thinking driving the process of this rapidly evolving design discipline.
It is recommended for students to complete Visual Interaction Design 2 either before or currently with Communication Design 5: Visual Interaction Design.
