Hollywood's diversity problem has been getting some needed attention in recent years, but Filmmakers of Color have been creating brilliant movies since the dawn of moviemaking. By promoting an understanding and appreciation for Black Directors & Black Actors, this course is designed to educate and expand awareness of Black Cinema. Through the examination of carefully selected films by renowned filmmakers, this class promises to be an exciting opportunity to become immersed in expressive black viewpoints on contemporary society.
