An immersive course in developing product solutions for the disabled. This class is a collaboration between ArtCenter, Caltech and the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. Students will partner with mechanical engineers under the guidance of trained professionals in occupational, physical and cognitive therapy. Students will identify opportunities through research, observation and interviews to identify compelling challenges to solve for. Within multidisciplinary teams, concepts and prototypes will be built and tested. Final solutions will be submitted for national recognition and evaluation.
