This course explores materials as integral to spatial storytelling and design, not as separate components, but as active shapers of experience. Students investigate material performance, expression, and innovation through both high-tech research and low-tech experimentation. Emphasis is placed on how materials connect, both physically and emotionally, as a vital part of the design process. The class encourages creative repurposing and hands-on exploration to uncover new possibilities for material-driven design.
