Mediatecture is an innovative, concept-driven course that explores the dynamic intersection of media, architecture, and spatial storytelling. Students will develop concepts for multi-dimensional narratives utilizing three-dimensional prototyping, sensors and app-based controllers as well as projection-based media. These tools and techniques will facilitate the development of an immersive, interactive, multi-sensory experience at the scale of the body. Embracing both traditional and emerging technologies, this course utilizes new tools and time-honored techniques to redefine the boundaries of spatial storytelling in a contemporary graphic design context.
Recommended to be taken in tandem with GTRA-303 Type 5: Transmedia.
