This studio explored conceptual strategies in the development of a design idea. Students are challenged to explore an idea intellectually and intuitively. Emphasis is on the formal, experiential and material issues inherent in cultivating a design sensibility or language. Students will learn to generate design solutions that are both conceptually innovative and commercially viable. Projects range in topic, integrating the design and articulation of space, furniture, materials and lighting at several scales.
