This advanced course focuses on the professional application and communication of materials and surfaces in the built environment, directly supporting each student's Experience Design studio project. Students explore sustainable material selection, surface treatments, and finish techniques while considering user experience and design narrative. Emphasis is placed on how materials shape perception and how they come together through methods of connection and assembly. Final outcomes include refined renderings, detailed drawings, sample displays, and portfolio-ready presentations that enhance the material resolution of studio work and prepare students for real-world design practice.
