In this class students will learn to build upon the observational drawing foundations learned in Drawing 1. Drawing methodologies focused on gesture, observation, and composition will be further developed. Innovative approaches to descriptive figure drawing, portraits and observational drawing will be expanded in scope to include the study of nature, animals, and human activity, dance, sport, travel, architecture, and social environments. You will learn how to combine intuitive and analytical approaches towards tackling these various subjects furthering your own informed and individual approach to observing and depicting the world around you. Students will learn how to develop their daily Sketchbook practice into a series of complementary books which will inform their future direction.
