Relief Printmaking introduces students to the expressive potential of traditional and experimental approaches such as linoleum block printing, woodcut, and collagraphy. Emphasizing hands-on process and material exploration, students will learn to design, carve, and print original images that respond to the unique characteristics of each method. Emphasis will be placed on learning relief printing techniques through art history and contemporary practices.
